Black women work better when we work together.
It's Okay Campaign, Inc is a 501c3 non-profit organization that was created in 2018 to help women of color realize that they are not alone in the struggle and experiences that they are facing. Black women are constantly facing challenges that may affect their mental and physical health or self/esteem. We aim to host a series of events that promote together. We create dialogue about mental health for women of color at all ages. Our goals are to make a positive impact in the lives of every black women that we come in contact with.
OUR MISSION
Here at It's Okay Campaign, Inc, our mission is to help black women understand that it is okay to feel and/or look a certain way. As women we tend to not want to look weak to other. We don't want to look as if we don't have everything together. Our minds have been programmed to always have to fix things and to heal quicker than others. This may lead to mental health issues - such as depression and anxiety. Whether we realize it or not, it is hard for us to come to terms with being okay with not having it all together. It's Okay Campaign will be a movement to show that we all have insecurities, faults, and weak moments that we may hide. We will bring women together to be each others strengths.
