In honor of Momma Reka, the beloved mother of our IOC member Deja S., we come together to raise awareness, celebrate her life, and stand in support of families impacted by breast cancer.

About the event
This year, our walk holds a special significance as we honor Momma Reka, the beloved mother of one of our IOC members.
On October 4, 2026, our village will gather in Orland Park to walk in her memory and honor the lasting impact of her life and love. We walk in remembrance of those we have lost. We walk in support of those currently fighting breast cancer. We walk in celebration of survivors. And we walk alongside the families, friends, and communities who continue to be affected by this disease.
For It’s Okay Campaign, this walk represents the heart of what community means to us: showing up for one another, creating space for support, and reminding women that they do not have to walk through life alone.
This year, we walk with Momma Reka in our hearts.
We walk in her honor. We walk for awareness. We walk together.
